The Perfect Space For Every Celebration

When I say the Delamar Mystic has everything you need for your wedding, I’m not exaggerating. There’s enough room to host all of your guests in comfort, unique spaces for your welcome party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception, and more beautiful spaces for portraits than I can begin to count. While the hotel decor leans coastal (we are in Mystic, after all), the nautical theme is tasteful and subtle, allowing it to accommodate any wedding style. You can get ready in any room or suite; they’re all beautiful. Even the lobby is stunning with elegant arches, a cozy fireplace, and bookshelves. I highly recommend touring this venue in person, but in the meantime, here are some of my favorite spaces for your wedding events!

My Favorite Spaces at the Delamar Mystic

The Waterfront Event Lawn

The waterfront event lawn leads right to the water, providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony. The processional walks down the grand staircase, creating an ideal moment for everyone to stand and see the bride as she walks down the aisle. For this ceremony setup, you have the water in the background for most of your photos, and the gorgeous architectural design of the Delamar Mystic in the rest. When I think of a picture-perfect ceremony space, this is what I visualize.

Waterfront Patio

The Waterfront Patio has everything you could possibly want for a relaxed cocktail hour and reception space. There are two areas for bar stations, comfortable lounge furniture, and canvas umbrellas to block the sun. The patio is a lovely place to connect with your guests or rest between dances! Every detail is intentional and well-designed, creating an effortless flow for all of your wedding day events.

The Ballroom

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the ballroom is the floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Mystic River. Throughout the day, the ballroom is awash in golden light, and at night, you can see lights reflected in the water. The other wall opens directly onto the Waterfront Patio. The doors can remain open all night, letting in a soft breeze and giving your guests another space to relax and connect.

Bonus: The Mystic Seaport

One of the best parts of working with a Connecticut photographer is all of the local gems I know about. With prior permission, we can sneak off the hotel grounds and take portraits around the Mystic Seaport! This is such a beautiful place for a first look or post-ceremony portraits. Calm water and luxurious charter boats provide a truly unique backdrop for your photos.
